According to the Seoul Pet Smart Life report recently released by the Seoul Digital Foundation, the number of pet dogs in Seoul has surpassed the 610,000 mark. According to the calculation of one pet dog per household, one out of every ten households has a puppy, which is enough to show the status of pet dogs in the hearts of Seoul citizens.

Among the many pet dog breeds, Maltese and teddy dogs have become the favorite pets of Seoul residents due to their attractive appearance and gentle personality. Korean food names such as "coco" and "choco" have also become the most common choices for dogs.

As the number of pet dogs continues to rise, pet-related facilities and industries in Seoul have also ushered in rapid development. At present, the number of animal hospitals in Seoul has reached 924, providing a solid guarantee for the health of pet dogs. At the same time, animal pharmacies and animal beauty shops have also sprung up to protect the beauty and happiness of pet dogs.

It is worth mentioning that in order to create a more pet-friendly environment, the South Korean government has also taken a series of positive initiatives. For example, a revised version of the Animal Protection Law, which came into effect on April 27, stipulates that five specific breeds of pet dogs must be declared. In addition, it plans to further strengthen the management and protection of pet dogs by expanding pet dog schools and stray animal adoption centers. The implementation of this series of measures will undoubtedly further consolidate the status of pet dogs in South Korean society, so that pet dogs become loyal partners in more families.
